Arusha – The main tourist hub of Tanzania, located at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. CULTURE, WEATHER AND CLIMATE IN TANZANIA
Tanzania is a country of natural and cultural contrasts, where modern cities meet traditional Maasai culture and Hadzasettlements, while diverse landscapes—from pristine Zanzibar beaches to the mountainous Mount Kilimanjaro regions—captivate with their variety.
Located in East Africa, Tanzania features a tropical climate along the coast and moderate conditions in higher areas. The best travel conditions are during the dry season from June to October, when rainfall is rare and temperatures range from 25°C to 35°C at lower elevations. In mountain regions such as Mount Kilimanjaro, nights can be much cooler, making these areas ideal for exploring diverse ecosystems.
Tanzania’s climate is shaped by two rainy seasons: the longer one from March to May and a shorter one from October to November. Dry periods from June to October and from December to February are optimal for travelers, offering stable, pleasant temperatures, minimal rainfall, and low humidity. Coastal areas like Zanzibar experience a tropical climate with temperatures reaching 35°C, while higher areas like Mount Kilimanjaro provide cooler days and refreshing nights, perfect for trekking and motorcycle tours Tanzania.
TANZANIAN CUISINE
