THE HIMLAYAS FOR FEMALE RIDERS

In August 2023, we managed to organize a very international, all-women’s expedition in the Indian Himalayas – it was perhaps the most international expedition we’ve ever had 🗺️ The icing on the cake was reaching the highest motorable pass – Umling La (5882 meters above sea level). Together, nine courageous women from eight different countries, riding the iconic Royal Enfield Himalayan motorcycles, embarked on the conquest of the Zanskar Valley and the highest Himalayan passes. The result of this expedition turned out to be truly amazing! 🤩 🥳 💪🏼

Emotions were palpable from the beginning. It’s no wonder. In the company of women, we tested our skills on truly demanding routes. As far as we know, no other all-female motorcycle group has reached Umling La yet (if we are wrong, please let us know, of course!). We also wanted to tackle new off-road routes leading to the Zanskar Valley. So, our goals were ambitious.

Imagine a place rarely visited by tourists, where the locals live far from the noise of Western civilization, and the food – definitely different from what we are accustomed to every day… You simply have to experience all of this! 🤩 And it’s the experiencing, trying, and admiring that stay in the heart forever after the return. That’s why we love to travel!

The part of India where we were with our Eagles is rugged yet full of colors and scents. You experience it with all your senses. These are priceless experiences. The motorcycle, of course, provides freedom. The wonderful group provides support and safety. It’s remarkable how women can support each other. At every stage of the expedition, we felt that we had a common goal to achieve, and together, we could do it. ❤️

It’s also important to note that the girls are just perfectly organized. In challenging terrain, when unpredictable situations cause delays, this organization is invaluable. The Eagles don’t need an extra five minutes of sleep when adventure awaits them. This is what the strength of women who never leave their femininity behind even for a moment looks like. 🥰
