TOUR DESCRIPTION:

THE CARPATHIANS, EASTERN BORDERLANDS AND MASURIAN LAKES

This is Poland beyond the obvious: a 14-day motorcycle journey from Kraków through the Carpathian Mountains, the eastern borderlands, Warsaw, Masuria, Podlasie and the Białowieża Forest before returning through the Eagles’ Nests castle country.

Over 14 days and 11 riding days, this supported Poland motorcycle tour combines winding mountain roads, quiet country lanes and selected gravel and sandy sections with some of the country’s most interesting landscapes, cultures and historic towns.

You can join the tour on your own motorcycle or rent a CFMOTO 450MT in Poland. Accommodation is provided every night in comfortable hotels, countryside guesthouses and carefully selected local properties.

A JOURNEY THROUGH MANY POLANDS

We begin in Kraków and ride south towards Podhale and the Tatra Mountains. The route then turns east through the Beskid Mountains and into the Bieszczady—one of Poland’s wildest and least populated regions, known for forested ridges, open mountain landscapes and quiet, flowing roads.

From the Carpathians, we follow the historic borderlands through Przemyśl and Lublin to Kazimierz Dolny. Wooden churches, Orthodox traditions, Renaissance architecture and the traces of Poland’s complicated past accompany the route towards Warsaw.

North of the capital, the landscape changes again. We ride through the forests and lakes of Masuria, continue towards Augustów and cross multicultural Podlasie, where Catholic churches, Orthodox monasteries and historic Tatar communities exist side by side. After visiting the Białowieża Forest region, we cross central Poland and follow the medieval Eagles’ Nests Trail back to Kraków.

WHO IS THIS TOUR FOR?

This tour is intended for riders who want to discover Poland beyond its main cities and motorways and who enjoy full days of varied riding through changing landscapes.

Most of the route follows paved secondary roads and small country lanes. Selected gravel, sandy and forest-road sections add variety without turning the journey into a hard-enduro tour. Riders should be comfortable controlling an adventure motorcycle on loose surfaces and riding on consecutive days. The difficulty level is rated 5/10.

YOUR OWN MOTORCYCLE OR A RENTAL MOTORCYCLE

You can ride the complete route on your own motorcycle. MotoBirds can also assist with motorcycle transport to and from Poland when required. The cost of transporting your motorcycle is not included in the tour price.

Alternatively, you can rent a CFMOTO 450MT in Poland. The rental option includes unlimited mileage and third-party liability insurance. A refundable motorcycle security deposit is payable before the tour.

Both options follow the same itinerary and include the same guiding, accommodation, luggage transport and logistical support.

GUIDANCE, LUGGAGE AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT

The group is led by an experienced English-speaking MotoBirds motorcycle guide. A support vehicle carries the participants’ main luggage, allowing riders to travel with only the essentials on their motorcycles.

The support vehicle also carries basic tools, selected spare parts and a spare motorcycle for the rental fleet. Participants travelling on their own motorcycles remain responsible for the mechanical condition, maintenance and repair of their motorcycles.

MotoBirds coordinates the planned route, group accommodation and scheduled activities included in the programme.

POLAND AT THE RIGHT PACE

This is not a motorway crossing or a rushed checklist of tourist attractions. The route has been designed around smaller roads, changing landscapes and places that reveal the history and character of Poland.

There is time to stop for photographs, explore historic towns, eat regional food and experience the differences between the mountains, eastern borderlands, lake districts and central Poland. The riding remains an essential part of the journey rather than simply a way of travelling between attractions.

The itinerary may be adjusted when required because of weather, road conditions, access restrictions or other circumstances beyond MotoBirds’ control.
