TOUR DESCRIPTION:
North and North-East Vietnam is absolutely remarkable because of its rugged mountain ranges, green valleys and famous rice terraces, that together provide a unique backdrop for our tour. The mountains can reach up to 3000m altitude, and the valleys are extremely steep. This motorcycle ride is especially designed for off-road lovers! But it is not only about riding: rich cultural diversity and many ethnic minorities living in the area enables visitors to experience a totally different Vietnam. This tour is far from the usual touristic routes but absolutely spectacular!
We will spend part of our journey on single tracks, going in and out of valleys, following rice terraces and rivers. It will be steep and narrow at times, but an absolute thrill! Prior off-road experience and good bike control will help riders make the most of this tour. Expect steep climbs, descents, sometimes mud, rocky passages, technical sections and of course river crossings!
After the tour, there is the option to enjoy a well deserved break: one of the most iconic cruises of Asia aboard a 5 star boat in the famous Ha Long Bay. Even for those more into motorcycling than cruising, it is an unforgettable experience and a terrific way to cap off the North Vietnam off-road tour.

WEATHER:
The weather at this time of year is generally good and sunny – it is the period with the least amount of rainfall during the whole year. It is still not very hot and the temperatures in the mountains. However, be also prepared for rain. North Vietnam weather can be capricious because of the mountains.
The route could become significantly more challenging in case of heavy rain.
MOTORCYCLE GEAR:
Wearing adequate riding gear is an individual responsibility. We strongly recommend “adventure” type boots or even better, motocross boots for this ride. Bring your own gear.
LUGGAGE:
We will be traveling light. Try not to take more than one 20kg luggage piece. It should be soft luggage, dust & water proof. For riding days take with you a small backpack or waterproof bag, with straps.
IMPORTANT, REMEMBER:
Each participant must organize a tourist visa. We will provide you with the necessary guidelines.
You must have an international driving license (1968 Convention).

Arrival in Hanoi. Classic Soviet era GAZ jeep tour in the old town. Welcome dinner.
DAY 2: 2.04
Hanoi – Bac Son. Motorbike riding through the caves – tunnels!
DAY 3: 3.04
Bac son – Tra Linh. Unconventional night in the nature by Nui Mat Than.
DAY 4; 5.04
Tra Linh – Ba Be. Boat cruise on Ba Be Lake and visit the semi-wet cave.
DAY 5: 5.04
Ba Be – Bao Lac. Single tracks.
DAY 6: 6.04
Bao Lac – Dong Van. Motorbike transfer by bamboo ferry. Special ride on Sky Trail (steep and narrow single track).
DAY 7: 7.04
Dong Van – Quan Ba. Special ride on Goat Trail (guaranteed to test your skills!)
DAY 8: 8.04
Quan Ba – Vinh Quang. Off Road riding on wild single track along the Chinese border.
DAY 9: 9.04
Vinh Quang – Xi Man. Off Road riding through rice terraces.
DAY 10: 10.04
Xi Man – Bac Ha – Lao Cai. Off Road riding through single tracks. Handover of the motorbikes in Lao Cai. Transfer to Hanoi by luxury sleeper bus.
DAY 11: 11.04
Fly out or transfer to Ha Long for those wanting the optional cruise.
Optional cruise (€380 double room / €550 single room)- Ha Long Bay luxury cruise on a 5* boat: 2 days / 1 night.
DAY 11: 11.04
Early morning transfer by private minivan to Ha Long Bay. Around 11.30 check in on the boat. Cruise on the Ha Long Bay with arranged activities and optional massage and spa. Night on the boat.
Day 12: 12.04
Around 11.30 am check out from the boat. Transfer by private minivan to Hanoi, lunch in Hanoi. Evening transfer to the airport. Fly out.
Important: if you choose this option your flight out of Hanoi cannot be earlier than 18.30 pm on 12.04.2025.
