Exploring the coastal region, the mountains, each area with its own unique character, adds an extra layer of excitement to this journey.
In Madagascar, you’ll encounter lemurs, baobabs, rainforests, mountains, waterfalls, and rivers. There’s no room for boredom! Baobab avenue, thermal springs, volcanic lakes, natural reserves, Itremo mountains, river crossings, sandy and technical trails are all along our route. WEATHER:
The weather at this time of year is generally good. It is the dry season and we do not expect rain. There might be occasional short rains, so a waterproof layer could be beneficial if you fear getting wet for a short while. The temperatures are pleasant, but is also can be very hot.
MOTORCYCLE GEAR:
Wearing adequate riding gear is an individual responsibility. We strongly recommend “adventure” or hard-shell type boots for this ride. Bring your own gear.
LUGGAGE:
We will be riding light. Try not to take more than one 20kg luggage piece. It should be dust & water proof. For riding days take with you a small backpack or waterproof bag. If you ride an optional KTM, bear in mind that these bikes have no racks to strap your bag.
IMPORTANT, REMEMBER:
Larger cities have ATM’s Otherwise, you will require local currency or US$ of the latest design without tears or marks.

- Airline tickets (tickets should not be bought until the organizer confirms the completion of the minimum group size).
- Tourist visa (€35 approximately)
- Vaccinations, if required.
- Medical expenses not covered by MotoBirds insurance.
- Drinks.
- Costs related to the transport of a participant to the nearest medical centre, in case of injury or illness or inability to continue the tour.
- Costs related to the transport of the participant’s motorcycle to the finish point of the tour, in case the motorcycle or the participant cannot continue the tour due to the participant fault.
- Motorcycle refundable security deposit: €2,000 in cash or with credit bank.
